Itinerary
Day 1: Fes – Ifrane – Ziz Valley – Merzouga Sahara Desert
After breakfast in Fes, your driver picks you up for the journey toward the Sahara Desert. We travel through the Middle Atlas, with scenic stops in Ifrane and Azrou to admire the forests and playful macaques.
Continue through Midelt and cross into the desert region via the stunning Ziz Valley, one of the largest palm oases in Morocco. We’ll pass through Erfoud before reaching Merzouga in the late afternoon.
Here begins your desert experience: ride camels across the golden Erg Chebbi dunes, stop for breathtaking photos at sunset, and arrive at your Berber desert camp. Enjoy dinner under the stars, traditional music by the fire, and sleep in your private tent surrounded by silence and sand.
Day 2: Merzouga – Todra Gorges – Dades Valley
Rise early for a sunrise you’ll never forget, then enjoy breakfast before heading out by camel or 4×4. We leave the desert behind and head west toward the Todra Gorges, a dramatic canyon with vertical walls reaching 300 meters.
You’ll have time to walk through the gorge, enjoy lunch nearby, and capture amazing photographs. Afterward, we continue along the Dades Valley, where you’ll pass picturesque Berber villages and colorful rock formations, including the famous “monkey fingers.” Dinner and overnight in a traditional guesthouse or kasbah in Dades.
Day 3: Dades Valley – Ait Ben Haddou – High Atlas – Marrakech
After breakfast, we depart Dades and drive along the Road of a Thousand Kasbahs toward Ouarzazate, Morocco’s cinematic capital. We’ll stop for photos at the film studios before continuing to the Ait Ben Haddou Kasbah, a fortified ksar that’s starred in countless films including Gladiator and Game of Thrones. Take your time to explore the old mud-brick alleyways and climb to the top for panoramic views.
After lunch, we cross the High Atlas Mountains via the Tizi-n-Tichka Pass, stopping for photos and small breaks along the way. By late afternoon or evening, we reach Marrakech, where your 3-day Fes to Marrakech desert tour ends with drop-off at your riad or hotel.
